Long Nails Ladies Fingernails
Nowadays it is very fashionable to have long nails. Although many people like it (both women and men) some say that having long fingernails has too many downsides. Naturally they have the right to form and express their opinion, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that they are right. From my point of view long nails can be very nice if they are properly taken care of.
When somebody wants to have long nails, she has to take great care of them, so they will not be looking like she forgot to clip them. They must have a normal shape, which mean that she has some work to do with them week after week. Regarding the length of the nails there are various opinions. Some say the longer, the better. Others think that long nails can be good looking to a certain length. I think that the most acceptable maximum length of the fingernails is twice the length of the nail bed. In this case the nails are neither too short nor too long.
If somebody has long nails or wishes to have long nails, she has to keep in mind these things. Sometimes long nails can be very sexy, attractive and most importantly, feminine, but sometimes it is too much, so instead of looking nice, they might look cheap. Depending on different circumstances, shorter, French manicured nails may look nicer than longer, very colorful nails. They might look more sophisticated. We must note that length is a very relative notion.
Of course it isn’t all about the length. Your nails might have the perfect length if they have a, let’s say, more unusual shape. I wouldn’t recommend shaping them into a point. Some think that this shape is trendy, but they don’t look good in most of the cases. It makes the fingers look a lot more longer, which is alright to one point, but then it becomes simply weird (most man think that fingernails that are shaped into a point look scary. Probably there is a little truth in that. This reminds most people of old horror movies.).
If your nails don’t have an extreme length or shape, the only way for them to be noticed is to color them. This is something we all have to be careful about. There are some colors that just weren’t invented to be worn on nails. The color of our nails can be a way to express ourselves, but we have to know, that this works the other way round to: people might form an opinion about us based on the color and design of the nails.

Sometimes the simplest designs are the most elegant. It can be fine to use only one color, but that color should be right for the occasion and it should match the rest of the things you are wearing.
