Fingernails An Indicator Of Health
- Lack of vitamin A and calcium produces dry and dull the nails.
- Lack of protein, folic acid and vitamin C cause cleft in the cuticle surrounding the nail. Also the lack of protein can make white stripes appear on the nails.
- Peeling nails can be caused by an insufficient amount of drohidric acid.
- Psoriasis cause thickening, erosion or peeling nails.
- Candida infection causes nails to become soft, discolored, thick and irregularly shaped.
- Asthma, heart disease, pulmonary emphysema or bronchitis can cause nails to a blue head. Dilated bronchi or accumulation of lymphatic fluid in the tissues makes the nails to become yellow.
- Lack of vitamin B12 can lead to excessive drying of the nail, in their curvature to the top and blackening them.
- A zinc deficiency can cause white spots on the surface of nails and their fragility.
- Iron deficiency (anemia) make fingernails pale, thin, brittle, with grooves and easy to break.
- Cracks and cuts the nail surface indicates a need of body fluids.

- Skin redness around the cuticles can cause a slow metabolism or a lack of essential fatty acids.
How can we improve the health of nails? As fingernails are an indicator oh health, the problems which appear on their surface may guide us.
- To treat nails that crack or break we recommend you drink carrot juice, eggs, milk, fatty fish and liver to increase intake of vitamin A. You can take supplements and fish oil.
- Against White spot eat seafood, poultry and whole grains to increase intake of zinc and vitamin B.
- Fungal and bacterial infections Enhance immunity by eating onion, garlic, foods with vitamin C (fruits and vegetables), foods rich in zinc (nuts, shellfish) and foods with omega-3 fatty acids (seeds, fatty fish oil rape).
- The fungus infections with buffered or massage your nails with a mixture of 5 drops of tea tree oil and marigold oil 5.
- All infections can use a mixture of 5 drops of eucalyptus oil, 10 drops of tea tree oil and marigold and 2 tablespoons of sweet almond oil.

- If nail problems are caused by psoriasis eat foods containing essential fatty acids (fatty fish, cereals, nuts, seeds).
- To strengthen nails take royal jelly, or seaweed. You can choose a method of treatment: In a bowl mix honey and olive oil in equal quantities, then add one yolk, mix all the ingredients very well and put inside your fingertips.
